Uma + Sukuna

Uma

Uma (short for Umakavury) was born in Trincomalee in Sri Lanka, and she’s pictured here with none other than her sister-in-law, Sukuna who is also a chef at the Kitchen, so the pair are often to be seen working (and playing!) together as they are both part of our warehouse team and Uma can always be found busy ‘picking and packing’ as part of our fulfillment team.

In her spare time, Uma enjoys long walks (she should take part in MK’s regular monthly step count challenge!) and especially loves to view the sun setting

Sukuna

To quote Sade, Sukuna is one ‘smooth operator’ (!) With a wonderful smile, and a keen eye, Sakuna is a trusted pair of hands here at the Kitchen and she is very much part of our MK family.

She has aways loved to travel and left her native Sri Lanka as a teenager to live and work in Singapore before settling here in Canada back in 1987 and still loves to explore the world whenever opportunity allows.

In her spare time Sukuna can be found in her own kitchen - enjoying baking and trying new recipes and there’s always a line of guinea pigs waiting to sample the results!
